Just what went into creating the well rounded individual that stands before you?
Van Der Valk
Happy Birthday to me...

I first emerged into this world in Truro, Cornwall during October 1973 - When "Eye Level" (the theme from "Van Der Valk") by the Simon Park Orchestra was at the top of the hit parade.

I spent my earliest years in Illogan, near Redruth. When I was 4, my family moved to a village called Tregajorran on the side of Carn Brea...

The building at University College Salford - that I never got to go in - it was finished in my last year there and took up valuable bloody car parking. It wasn't a good idea to leave your car on the streets around there, I can tell you.
The Three "R's"

Schooling for me started out at Carnkie CP School near Redruth, from 1977 to 1985.

Secondary Education was at Pool School, from 1985 to 1990. I continued into further education at Cornwall College where I studied my 'A' levels - 1990 to 1992. From there, I went to University College Salford to study my degree in Television and Radio Studies. That was from 1993 until 1996.

Career

Upon relocation back to Cornwall from Salford in 1996, I started as a volunteer at BBC Radio Cornwall. The following year, I was taken on as a "Locations Assistant" for the HTV production of "Wycliffe".

After this, I started as a Project Worker for CSV Media in Redruth and at the end of 1998 relocated to London in search of greater things...

Yes, we were living at Potters Bar when the tragic train crash happened. You could see the crane lifting the carriages away from our flat window.
Life as a Grockle

Early 1999 was spent looking for work, with the occasional temping position. Started as a "Senior Account Executive" (Salesman) for a printing and copying firm in Finchley.

I then moved to Potters Bar in 2000 and before the end of the year, became an IT Trainer for The Mouse Training Company. The company collapsed in 2002 and I went freelance for a while. In 2003 I decided to relocate back to Cornwall...

Select Cars - where I earned the moniker 'Swiss Tris'.
"Swiss Tris"

After moving back to Cornwall, I continued training in London on a part-time basis but by early 2004 was tiring of being away from home for such extended periods.

I was offered a full time position at Select Cars, which had relocated to Lanner from Falmouth at the time. During 2005, Select Cars relocated again to Truro and I started work with IT West, an IT company based in Hayle.

This Is Where I Come In

Currently, I work as a Web Design Consultant.

In my spare time, I take pictures of Cornwall and own a Ford Capri 280 (I'm also in the Duchy Capri Club). I'm very happily married and my family consists of my lovely wife Sam, our little Jack Russell, Tilly, a rabbit called Dom and a wiry Guinea Pig called String.
